The Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) recently announced the finalists for the Ben Franklin Award program, now in its 30th year. The award program celebrates the best independently published books, shining light on the importance of professional standards, excellent content and creative design.

For the 2018 edition, three or four finalists were selected in 54 categories out of a total of nearly 1,500 entries. Each book was evaluated by more than 150 judges, each with years of experience in the book industry, in a six-month long judging process.

Yoga for Pain Relief: A New Approach to an Ancient Practice, authored by Lee Albert and published by Dudley Court Press, is a 2018 Ben Franklin Award finalist in two categories: Health and Fitness, and Cover Design, Large Format.

All of us on the DCP team are very proud that Yoga for Pain Relief and author Lee Albert are getting the recognition that they deserve!

The Gold and Silver award winners will be announced at IBPA’s Ben Franklin Award ceremony on April 6, 2018, which will be held in Austin, Texas. We’ll be there rooting for Lee and hoping he takes home the gold.
